Default An idiot at CNET thinks the format war is a GOOD thing!

http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6449_7-...?tag=cnetfd.mt

Seeing as i've already paid for my hd-dvd and blu-ray players, i don't give a crap what they cost. i would MUCH rather see competition among manufacturers of the SAME format drive prices down - a fact that he doesn't seem to consider.

Well he is not wrong, let them make cheeper players with better extra's. That way no matter if HD or Blu wins we win. The Cheeper the better for all of us.

I thought it was a very good article. Not the first time I have read that $99 for a player, is going to be the breakthrough point.

The funny thing about this article is that this is the same guy that told us in February or March that HD DVD was going to be dead by September.

CNET also believes that the worst Blu-ray player is the best hi-def player. CNET = old stupid men who know little of the industries they cover. I would take anything there with a salt factory.

Talk about a flip-flop. First he claims HD DVD is dead, now he says HD DVD is good and wishes it a long life for competitive purposes.

I think most of us know that maybe at first it was good, since it made Blu-ray cheaper, but its time its over for everybody, so we can all have every movie.

HD DVD should give it up. It is only prolonging the inevitable.

Yeah just spend millions and millions of dollars around the world and just pack it in for no logical reason. makes sense to me. Anybody want to buy a used A2 and 40 HD-DVDs?
