Default POLL: The Format War And You (Honest Feedback)

Well, it has been more than 12+ months since this format war really started. I assume that most people on this site originally picked one side and either stuck with that side, or decided to go neutral (or possibly even switched altogether). Please pick the option that applies to you and where you see yourself in 4-12+ months.

As for me, I started out HD DVD and then purchased a Blu-Ray player.

Bought my PS3 back in January. Very satisfied. No plans to go neutral.
If anything, I will continue my boycott of Universal which I started after they reaffirmed their support for HD DVD earlier this year.

I started off with Blu-ray and am planning on staying blu-ray because A. im confident that they will come out on top so why spend money on something that in my eyes will fail.

2. I dont have room for an HD DVD player. Just dont have a single spot to sit it.

3. I dont want to spend the cash on DVD and Blu-ray and HD DVD, UMD and VHS

I have never thought, even for 1 second, of buying a Blu-ray player. I see absolutely nothing that would compell me to think about it, much less do it. I don't need Blu-ray as I have my schedule full with HD DVD viewing.

Anyway, why clutter my home with another format I don't need?

I am a supporter of both formats, but reading many comments here makes me prefer HD DVD, just because.

I jumped into Hi-Def media last year with the 360 Add-on and I have been hooked ever since. I recently purchased a PS3 because of the price drop, a free controller, and 5 free BD's.

I have a soft spot for HD DVD, but it's nice being format neutral.

If a good Blu-ray standalone comes down in price, I may consider it.

Well the closest one is Blu-ray exclusive - since I have a 360 HD DVD player - it seams this poll favors neutral studios - because a lot of people may have both formats but have pick one as primary.

Having both formats - does't mean you are neutral.

Bought an HD-A1 in fall 2006 and recently bought the dual-format LG BH100 (it plays Blu-Ray plus all of my HD-DVDs, albeit without the HDi features).

I'll admit that I prefer HD-DVD over Blu-Ray (Region codes suck!) so for movies that come out in both formats (Warner and Paramount), I pick up the HD version.
