Default Versus just appeared on Time Warner cable

Turned on the TV yesterday and discovered that the Versus HD channel magically appeared. While I'm happy to see a new channel, it won't make quite the impact that getting something like Food Network (which the wife loves) would make.

I've only had the HDTV for a few weeks now, but I've discovered that I hardly watch any of the regular channels any more. I even switched my local nightly news to the one station that now does it in HD. I wonder if that behavior is common? If so, not a good omen for the slow adopters to the format.

No I do that too unless it something I really wanna watch. Luckily most everything I watch is in HD. Kinda sucks though choosing from only about 14 channels now.

Sorry... Versus is yet another sports channel, this time one that often concentrates on offbeat sports. It is carrying some of the Stanley Cup games, but that won't be for much longer. More at versus.com.

What other HD channels do you get with Time Warner? I have Suddenlink right now and we get 15 HD channels, but I'm moving in about a week to an area that has Time Warner. I was wondering how many channels I would be gaining or losing.

here in central Ohio, I get HBO (Showtime is available), ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, WWHO, Discovery HD, TNT, Sports Time Ohio, EPSN, ESPN-2, Mojo, HD-Net, HD-Net Movies, Universal, Versus... ummm... I know I'm missing something.

At this time, we don't get Cinemax HD, HG, Food

Nice, hopefully they have the same lineup down here in TX except swapping FSN SW for Sports Time Ohio. (although I wouldn't mind getting the Indians games down here at all)
