Default For the remaining TWC customers...Actual good news!

http://www.foxcitieshd.com/node/446
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel asked Glenn Britt, TWC CEO, a few questions:

According to Britt, Time Warner Cable is putting in technology to offer "unlimited high-definition" channels, noting that "in the next several months, we're going to be adding them rapidly." He added, "I'm a big believer in high-def, by the way."

Surprising!

yeah, that's switched digital (SD) and they've been promising/working on it for about a year now.

FTA: "He admits that satellite is doing a better marketing job"

No kidding! Everything is mum at TW -- they won't officially tell you anything, while DTV posted the set of channels they were adding and when they were going to do it. And then they did it, on time.

yeah, it's switched digital which means the channels offered depend on the viewing habits of an entire neighborhood. Not ideal, but at least it's coming. I believe Wichita is the test market.

Good news. We got History, Food, HGTV and A&E a while back here in Ohio, but nothing in a couple months. Shoot, I am still waiting for NBC HD here.

We just got TBS HD, A&E HD, THC HD and another one. The problem is I'd rather watch the SD channel because the HD channel shows the SD version stretched out. When a lot of these shows were shot on HD they're letterboxed for 4:3 so when it's stretched out it's at nearly 2.4:1. I would rather go to the SD channel and zoom it to fill the screen.

We only have 2 of the 4 major networks in HD right now. TWC is a joke, and I think 2008 will be the year I go dish.

TWC is a joke, some of the biggest markets have 10 HD channels. I'd like to see the NFL Network HD and MTV HD. Very lackluster channel experience and the rates just got jacked up again.
