Default Lotr Tnthd 12/14 - 12/17

That's right folks...TNTHD will be airing the trilogy this weekend. I have Time Warner and they're on at 7p.m. each night (FOTR Friday, TT Sat, ROTK Sun)

This may be the closest we get to these in HD for a while....

Spread the word!!!!!

I'm pretty stoked for this. Now I just wish they had "limited" or no commercial interruptions!

You can only hope that TNT doesn't do what they are famous for and use "stretch-o-vision". Hopefully these will be the actual HD versions of the films. I have seen them before on TNT and it was a mixed bag.

Actually, I saw RoTK, too. It wasn't stretched and appeared to be in HD, but it wasn't in its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio. It was 1.85:1; it fills your HD set without bars...which it should have.

that's what i meant by "stretched" was it was in 1:85 aspect as opposed to the original 2:35

Then it wasn't stretched, just cropped.

So this is actually 12/14 to 12/16? 17th is Monday. Or did you put the 17th because RotK is so long it goes into Monday morning?

Yeah 16th...Sorry. Stoner typo Hopefully this gets enough viewers to spur some momentum for these on HDM. What is New Line anyways, red or blu?

Default Great!

Not only will they be showing them cropped @ 1.78:1 and with a ton of commercials but, there is no doubt in my mind that Kyra Sedgwick and Holly Hunter will both pop up with banners telling me to watch the special encore of their shows in like three weeks or something.....

Still, they do look pretty decent when they aren't in "stretch-o-vision" and don't have banners and pop ups - so it should look good for about 15 mins of the entire duration of each film.....
