Default Hitchcock On HDNet Movies In December!

Cool news for Hitchcock fans. HDNet Movies will be showing 10 classics from the master every Sunday throughout December. The ones I know for certain include:

Psycho
Frenzy
The Birds
Family Plot
Vertigo
Rear Window
Torn Curtain
The Trouble With Harry
The Man Who Knew Too Much

I think Topaz may be the other.

I'm hoping for "Shadow of a Doubt" -- let's hope Uni gets on the ball and puts out the velvet box in HD next year.

Might be time for me to add the HDNet channels for the extra $5/month.

If you can, I would HIGHLY recommend it. They always show films in their OAR. Can't praise it enough.

when i had HDnet in 07 I was able to record vertigo, the birds and rear window. they all look absolutely gorgeous. i fear once they are released on bd they will get DNRd to death and not look as good. i hope im wrong though.

well if Universal creates new masters when they release these they hopefully will look great.
If they use older dvd masters they certainly will be ruined.
honesty I can't see Universal releasing some of these--like "Frenzy" or "Torn Curtain"--
for years if ever.
