Forget 4K, Japan is already testing 8K TV broadcasts.

Either for huge screens or for those that have to sit 3 feet away.
The bigger we go the bigger the disparagy though. 7680 does not equal 8K.

Why exactly? I guess just because, 4K is barely making it around for people yet (especially good content) and they are moving with 8K already? Eventually it wont even matter to our eyes, hell I still know people that actually dont care about regular HD

Why not? 3840 2160 is what we call a 4K TV these days.

It is much closer to 4K but the disparity is getting wider.
