The satellite service has lost select channels from Turner Networks.

Each time this happens, I side with the cable/satellite provider.
These channels start out high, typically demanding a 300% increase in their fees. Imagine overnight if your bill went up 450%. I am factoring in typical profit margins as well. Even if the percentage perfectly correlated imagine a 300% increase.

When it is all said and done though, the channel still gets between 40 - 80 % increase in fees, which is truly ridiculous and sad. The channels themselves might as well get the snippers out for people to cut the cords as they will reach a breaking point with the constant increases in their bills.

TCM, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, CNN and TruTV?

Thats a big hit, if I had cable, I would be watching some of those channels for sure.

AMC is already putting things in place for when they pull the plug on Directv by inserting popups during The Walking Dead this past week. They pulled this shit a couple of years ago with Dish Network and other than TWD and Hell on Wheels, they have yet to put anything out there worthy of a huge increase in fees.

^^^ I recall Directv taking advantage of Dish losing AMC for awhile, using it in there marketing campaign.
I say DISH needs to reciprocate.

Day 15 (??) and I still am not missing any of these channels. Fuck Turner.
