Default 360 giving DTS now?

I'm using the Denon 2307 reciver that automatically detects what kind of input source it's getting. Normally it states DolbyDigital on the display, when the x360 is source, but if i select DTS in a movie, the display on the reciver actually switches to DTS Surround...so the reciver obviously detects some kind of change...maybe it's my imagination, but the audio sounds better too...How can this be if x360 downssamples everything to DD5.1 640kbps?

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that I have been getting the DTS light on my Pioneer receiver since day one with the 360 with movies that support it.

The 360 will output the DTS stream for SD-DVDs which have it. However, for some reason it will not do so for HD-DVDs. MS could fix this though since it is all done in Software.

Yeah, I'm sure the HD DVD addon will be getting a multitude of upgrades and soon as microsoft know of all possible faults.

The add on will pass DTS if a SD DVD is played with the DTS audio track selected, but no for the HD DVD movie.

Yes, we know that. But there was supposed to be an update that allows for DTS on HD movies as well.
