I was looking through the selection yesterday on the XBOX Live marketplace, and they have a decent selection of stuff. You can even download entire seasons of certain shows (some of them in HD!). The one thing we need now is a bigger hard drive than the cramped 20GB one that's offered now.

Does anyone have an external USB HDD and an XB? Just wondering if the recent changes to external memory allows these to work for raw storage space. If not, the fact that the HD DVD drive has two USB ports on the back (1 for Wi-Fi, one open) and that it's size is 1/2 the XB, they might be releasing another boxed addon, maybe a HDD or DVD burner for content.

Never thought about trying an external HD for that. I'll try it later and report back.

Using an External HD won't work for more space, the 360 can read from it (I use mine for MP3s and WMV videos) but it can't write to it.

Default Movie Downloads

Hey Everyone,

Anyone have any luck downloading content yet? I purchased and tired to download V for Vendetta in HD yesterday and it has been a real mess so far. First of all, it took 12 hours to get through 25% of the download and then it unfortunately stopped and I haven't been able to get it going since. Anyone have luck with the service yet. Another bad thing is that if you play a game like Gears of War, X-box live will put the download on hold until you are finished.

I have the HD-DVD and so far it is has been the incredible. They really got that add-on right. The download service however may have been too ambitious at this point.

Sounds like good idea, but I don't think 20GB is enough. How about MS sells a 200GB for $100? I'm sure they will make their money back on downloads.

The service has been really hammered in the past two days. Just downloading an episode of Space Ghost took quite a while. I'm sure it'll get better.
