Default Need to borrow data transfer cable

Anyone have a data transfer cable I can borrow? I will pay for shipping both ways. I got one from MS when I first got my Elite and gave it away when I was done using it. Now, I got a second X360 and want to copy my games and videos over. Let me know...thanks.

I was gonna try to submit the request form again but I don't know if they're giving away the cable as an ongoing support courtesy.

You can't use it to copy from the 120GB HDD, it won't recognize it, just an FYI.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just read that on the xbox site. It sounds like an image is created and then pushed onto the receiving drive. Probably the reason you can't go from 120GB->20GB. I wonder if 120GB-120GB would work?!

All I've heard is that you cannot transfer your files back to the Xbox that you removed them from. So, you could go from an old 20GB to a new 120GB to another 20GB. I don't know if that's correct, but that's all I've heard.

No, it only goes from 20-120. Can't go back to 20 or to 120 unfortunately.

Ahh, I read on Xbox.com.

You can go from 20GB to 20GB or 20GB to 120GB. Now it doesn't say that you can't transfer again from a 20 to a 20, but they do state that a 120 cannot go back to a 20.
