Default Will you trade in current 360 for Elite poll

I just wanted to see how many people on this board will be trading in their current 360 for the Elite. I think you will see a huge spike in sales for the Elite because of current 360 owners trading up.

What do you all think?

No, you would probably see more new buyers than people that trade up. Unless they offer a trade back price, paying $479 for another box is pretty steep for most people considering they already spent approximately 400 already for their initial box.

That being said, I voted yes, because I *HATE* the white box and white add-on and I'm crazy enough to spend the extra money to get rid of the whiteness. My components are all black except for the 360. I just with they would make a black add-on.

Game Informer reported that you will be able to upgrade for $200 dollars to Elite. Haven't heard Microsoft say it official yet.

I'm pretty sure you can get $200 bucks if you trade in your premium..unless it's jacked up.

Oh well that's different. Sorry didn't hear that news. In that case, ring up the cash registers... I'm a happy camper. I thought I was gonna have to shell out another 500+ (tax). But for 2 bills, SOLD.

If I still had my Premium (sold it for 60GB PS3, LOL) I would. Isn't the Elite considered more "stable?"

I also would because I'm the type who wants the latest! My recent upgrades shows...HD-A1 to HD-XA2, the 60GB PS3, iMac C2D...so on!

$200 isn't bad considering the $179.99 MSRP of 120GB HDD by itself.

By the way, is it on the Game Informer website or magazine that you heard about this?

The Elite's not for me. If I had a new A/V reciever capable of HDMi in/out, then I would. But I don't so the Elite has no draw for. I know in the future, I'll want to upgrade my 360 when I do get that new reciever. Also, my 42" Samsung DLP is native 720p with 1 HDMI in.

I don't really have a need for an Elite because while my TV has HDMI, it's being used by my satellite reciever. I'm using VGA for right now, and quite happy with it. I WILL however be getting a 120GB HDD and I'm thinking about a core system to put in a second room since I'll then have an extra 20GB drive. Maybe if they can guarantee me a way of transferring my DRM license over to an Elite from my premium then I'll reconsider. Cause it would be the same amount of money.

I won't because 1) I have already switched to a stand alone player for HD DVD (HD-A2), and 2) I am buying movies and saving up for other purchases (PS3), not saving to replace my xbox every year.
