Yeah same here. I even got AnyDVD HD to try and get around some of the problems I was having with not having a HD compliant monitor. Ended up being screwed by my video driver not being HD compliant. Damn Intel integrated video card.

Just plugged mine in with Vista, auto-downloaded the drivers from Windows Update. Plays fine. I use AnyDVD HD to skip past FBI warning etc.

I got mine functioning fine with XP; I can read the contents of HD DVDs and play sd DVDs, but according to HD/BD playback software system requirements my AMD Athlon 64 2.25 GHz processor and ATI All-in-Wonder graphics card are inadequate.

I'm thinking it's not worth the cost of upgrading my PC to a dual core processor and HD video card; thinking of just picking up a refurbished 360 core system off eBay for around $100 is much more cost effective. I've been wanting to try Xbox Live downloads anyway - seems kinda dumb to me Microsoft doesn't open up XBL to PC users. Or better yet, co-ordinate with Toshiba to open up XBL to HD DVD standalone players with support for USB drives for the extra storage capacity.

Before I bought my HD-D3 at Sam's Club I had the Xbox 360 HD DVD addon connected to my HTPC. Barely worked under XP but worked great under Vista.

Got my xbox HDDVD add-on from Amazon. Got PowerDVD.

Plug it into my PC running Windows XP SP2. Works pretty well. Better than my HD-A3 machine!

It took some time, but the last builds of powerdvd really work great.

you do need a good PC for it

I had to use anydvd hd as well so I can use HDMI from my display card to the receiver to the TV (I guess one of them wasn't HDCP compatible, at least with a software solution you can 'fix' that)

I had to use anydvd cause powerdvd was complaining about HDCP. Anydvd did the trick.

My PC barely made the minimum requirements. Pentium D OC 3.5GHz and 7600GT video card.
