Default HD DVD Add on Stopped Reading HD DVDs! HELP!

I went to watch an HD DVD today on my 360 and for some reason every time I put the disc in the player, it would start to load up and then just go right back to the Dashboard. I figured it was a bad disc, so I put in a differen tmovie that I had already watched before - same result. I have tried every disc in my collection and they all do the same thing.
I know the player is connected properly because it loads standard DVDs just fine.
I have only used the HD DVD player about five times - don't tell me it's dead already!
Has anyone else had this problem?

I would call Microsoft. It has a warranty, and can be fixed. That is, of course, you haven't had it for over a year.

My first ad-on had a bad usb port. I verified it myself by just moving the cable very slightly where it connects to the HD DVD player.

sounds like it may possibly be the same thing you're experiencing. at any rate, you'll need to replace it.

No it's the new firmware upgrade... no longer does the addon play HD-DVDs, it plays bluray now.

In all seriousness, my friend has the same issue. And he's fighting with MS over this. I think the add-on only has a 90-day warranty.
