Default 360 Questions

1. I'm thinking of selling my 360 but I want to keep my hd-dvd add-on and use it with my PC. Have any of you tried taking apart your add-on and putting it inside your PC - essentially making it an internal drive?

2. Is it possible for me to stream video over my wireless network from my PC to my 360 if i have windows XP instead of windows media center?

1.Look around online for instuctions on how do the HDDVD part. Though I think it has to be external.
2.If you're gonna sell wouldn't this question be irrelevant?

*** Go to your windows media player 11(if you have it), go to Lib. scroll to media sharing, and if your networked together everything should be good to go.***

Anything that is licensed for download (iTunes video & music) will not be played through the 360. The 360 is also only able to stream WMV or WMV-HD.

The song I downloaded from Itunes wont stream over to the 360. I think the Ipod update is only for plugging an Ipod directly into the 360. All the songs I've bought from Napster which are in mp3 will stream to the 360 from the computer. 360 will stream all the songs I've ripped to the PC also which are in mp3 fromat. I havent tried streaming video.

i actually did some research and all mp3s WILL stream to the 360. the only problem is that some songs you get on itunes are in another format (aac) and the 360 wont recognize it.

Windows Media Connect will stream WMVs, MP3s, and photos to your 360. Windows Media Center does expand the types of video files a little, but you still can't stream Quicktime or Divx files. It's pretty much limited to straight AVI files.

There's no way to stream any non-Microsoft DRM content to a 360. PlaysForSure and I think Zune files will play, along with videos purchased from Amazon Inbox.
