Default Kid gets his account hacked on xbox live and ms wont help

take a look at this. This kid was given some special edition armor from bungie for his halo 3 multiplayer character. It turns out his account was hacked by some people who played him on live that wanted the armor.

He has been contacting microsoft and they fail to help him out so he has been going to forums including bungies

lol at "Microsoft won't listen to me when I say there must be some hole in their security" and especially "You guys messed with the wrong people - we're not 12 yr. old little kids."

reminds me of the korean that murdered some dude because he "stole" his virtual sword.

they all need to move on, there's harder things in life coming down the pipe.

I really hate criminals and I sincerely hope that the perpetrator gets to test out our fine, American justice system.

I think it's kinda ballzy that the guy or at least someone who knows the guy has been posting on that thread taunting, gloating, and acting like he's untouchable. Microsoft has said that your GamerTag is your online identity, so hijacking it is pretty much identity theft. Not only that, but I would think it would be pretty simple to find out what IP this gamertag was logging into Live from since I don't think you can run your Xbox through a proxy without some sophisticated networking hardware. So if this guy used a proxy to hide his PC traffic, it would only be a matter of time for his Xbox to be located. I hope they throw the book at him, and the other members of his hacking team.

Hes says they changed the name on the credit cards..which tells me its b.s. You cant edit or remove credit card information. even if you call to have it removed its still useless with the wrong name.
