Question 360 HD add on for CRT 480I

Hi all...I want to buy the 360 HD add on because eventually I will be getting a LCD TV. For now though, I'm running my 360 on component cables to a 27' CRT. Question: If I buy the HD add on, will I be able to watch the HD movies?? I know it will be only 480I, but will it work is my main concern. Thanks.

uhhhhh are you asking if you can watch hd movies on a non-hd set?
If this is the question the answer is definately no. not sure what you are asking. Is the crt hd or non-hd?

That is what he is asking, and why wouldn't it work? I mean, there is absolutely no point in doing it, but why wouldn't the movies display in 480i?

It's CRT non-hd....so I guess what I'm asking is can you watch HD movies in 480I through component cables on a non-hd crt tv. But note, this would be through the 360 HD add on player which goes through the 360 console. Not sure if that matters or not, but anyways....

Can you see a picture when using the XBOX360 for gaming through component? If so then yes, there shouldn't be a problem viewing HD-DVDs on it.

You can watch HD DVDs but there'll be absolutley no point. Save your pennies for an HD TV first man.

Please do read his first post.

He's already in charge for a LCD TV but will get his Microsoft HD-DVD Player first.
