Talking XBox 360 (120 GB Hard Drive)

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on one of these? I'm looking to upgrade...

you mean the elite? i would just buy the 120 gig off of ebay.

If you want the elite try ebay, you just have to search, i picked up a nintendo wii for 200, in the beginning of the year.

I have seen elites lower than what retail stores are selling them at.

if your sketchy on ebay try walmart or any of those small business killing chains

I think he just wants the 120gig hard drive. Online will probably be the cheapest, not sure I would try eBay for something like that.

right, the harddrive is very expensive at a standalone price. Microsoft really rips us off.

However, from my other understanding you can buy a laptop 120gig or higher drive and sawp it. Not everyone of them works its a specific brand, if i find more out ill re post it or edit this post.

i picked one one with the transfer cable on ebay for $125. there are deals occasionally, you just have to hit it on the right day. i picked up one new for my cousin a couple of days ago on ebay for $140 new. the stuff on the hdd is well worth it as well.

Is there already content on the 120GB hard drive when you get it? Is ebay safe for something like this? I don't really want to get ripped off.

1) ebay is safe
2) Transfer cable is NOT always included watch the specific auction.
3) You CANNOT swap out a pc harddrive, it has to be a MS brand drive to work. Only the PS3 can use pc harddrives.
4. I've watched for months, and rarely do you see one go for less then $150 with shipping. Most sell for about $120-150 and shipping runs $10-25 each.

Or just sell your current 360 and buy an Elite instead of buyingthe 120GB drive.

The price of the 120gb HDD is so outrageous, I wouldn't even bother, unless you plan on using your xbox has a media hub. Like said before, it would be cheaper to just sell your old xbox, and get the elite.

you aren't watching the right ones then. look for the BINs. there aren't alot that are cheap, but you just got to be lucky to find it.
