Default Best Component cables for Xbox HD DVD?

Is there a difference in Component cables(red, green, blue)? I noticed there are the basic cable that came with my Xbox 360 premiere and there are ones that sale for $50-100. I am buying the Xbox HD DVD player and want to use the best connection for my 42 inch Vizio Plasma. Thanks

The Component cables which come with the XBox 360 work great. You can get 1080p if you use the XBox 360 VGA cable. But the supplied component cables work great.

Like the last guy, I suggest you use VGA if your TV handles 1080p over VGA (or 1080p at all) OR 1080i so you can up-convert your DVDs to 1080i. I suggest the Monster cable if you want pure clarity. Some people argue that is a waste of money, but I've tested them and the quality is like day and night (reduces all noise on the channel).

I use the ones that came with the 360 and am impressed with the PQ, however I have not tested with more expensive cables to see if there is a difference!

Monster cables are amazing!! I have everything I own hooked up through Monster (2 hdmi videos, 2 component videos, 2 fiber audio, 1 coax audio, 1 A/V, and my surge protector as well). Although the component cables that came with the 360 are good too. The thing with Monster Cables is I will be followed by people posting about "there is no difference" and "they're a waste of money". There is a HUGE difference, and they ARE a waste of money. Shop around, ask people you know at electronic stores if they get discounts, etc. Monster usually gives third party employees a HUGE discount (I got all mine when I worked at Radioshack 60% off). That way, with the savings you can grab a few more HD movies.

Someone help me understand how the VGA is something to go with over HD components? Im using the stock 360 components, and at times get a little annoyed with the "noise" i can see on the picture.... i wouldnt mind dropping a bill to get that taken care of.

The original posters Vizio HDTV is a 720P model. The component cables will work great, the stock ones are fine IMO.
