Default HD DVD update

When I signed in today, there was a prompt for new firmware for the HD addon. Was an update released today or within the last week?

Thanks

I wonder if this fixes the functionality error i got with my Band of Brothers HD DVDs from Japan (I even emailed Major Nelson to pass onto the team responsible).

Nice...just updated mine. Out of the movies I owned, they all work fine with no problems at all. But my recent purchase of "The Departed" (re-issue) had to be popped in the tray about 3-5 times until it worked.

Updated the new update, and boom, now it works at ease.

I guess these are random.

Does anyone know if there's a site or something that gives 360 add-on owners the heads up of upcoming updates?

There are a couple places you can check, but at the moment there isn't any info about the updates.

Major Nelson posts about more AutoUpdates on his blog: www.majornelson.com

Andy Pennell is on the HD-DVD add-on team: http://blogs.msdn.com/andypennell/

There was also a thread here and on AVS Forum where the head of the HD-DVD team would have discussions with the community. Unforunatly, I can't remember is name or a link to the thread.

Thanks Dusto, I appreciate it. Just bookmarked them. I'll scratch and search around the AVS Forum for any HD DVD add-on update threads.

I got the prompt update today after popping in "The Sting" (great, and must see movie)

I wonder what the recent update was about?

Andy updated his blog. Apparantly this weeks update is on network fixes alot of people were experiencing and title compatibility.

1. 2.0.4113 (Original)
2. 2.0.4248 (Nov 06)
3. 2.0.4629 (May 07, audio fixes)
4. 2.0.4634 (June 07, networking fixes only)
5. 2.0.4636 (July 07, networking fixes only)
6. 2.0.4641 (Nov 07, networking fixes and improved title compatibility)

Hot Fuzz (error C667000A after Universal logo)

Sporadic issue, retry and it should work fine. Fixed in 2.0.4641

regarding the hot fuzz issue, does anybody have any problems with that disc? after the Universal HD DVD logo, it freezes for a few seconds then goes to the menu. also, when navigating through the menus, its a tad slow. this is even with the new firmware
