Default My add on is too loud

Recently my 360 has become very loud since watching hd dvds. Does any one know why this happens and how to stop it?

mine is the same, but it's always been loud. i've gotten used to it.
It's only noticable in really quiet moments, and then it's not loud enough to spoil my enjoyment.
I don't think there's anything you can do about it. 360's are noisy, it does seem to be a design/manufacturing flaw.

I dont ever notice it. I have a projector, 360, recevier, all making fan noises and I still dont notice them during a movie....unless its total silence..

I can notice it, when the movie is in a very very very soft sounding scene or no sound at all in a scene but like many others it doesnt bother me at all.

I am really interested in seeing these new 3rd Gen HD-DVD players, see if it worth it for me to make the jump to a stand alone player. As of right now the Xbox 360 add-on does everything i need it to and upgrading to a standalone is not worth it just for the silence.

Does anyone have a standalone? And if so do you hear any noise durring quite scenes?

i've never heard my hd-dvd add-on making any noise. maybe the console itself, but never the actual add-on.

It does that because odds are theres a game inside the 360.

Take the game out of the 360 if ur going to watch an hd dvd movie.

Itll be silent then ^_-

noticed it was loud when I watched Hot Fuzz, took out Command and Conquer 3, and bam, no noise.

I had the same problem with my original 360. I got another 360 for my bedroom 6 months ago which is alot quieter, although is not silent.

The fan speed has nothing to do with whether a game is in there or not. I think it varies from machine to machine depending on when it was made.
