Default Scorpion King video jerky throughout movie

I just watched the Scorpion King and the video was skipping along a few frames at a time - jerky. I was getting a headache trying to watch it. Is this a known issue with the HD-DVD add-on or this HD-DVD?

When I played this HD-DVD, Live wanted to update my system and I said yes. It seems to me that I have seen this problem before on my HD-DVD add-on, but I can't remember which movie.

I own the Scorpion King and it plays flawlessly on my Toshiba.

Great PQ too, I'd give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars easily, and keep in mind it's on an HD-15 disc! (made possible because the extras are on the DVD side).

It is a great movie - I have it on DVD and HD-DVD. I have played many of my other HD-DVD's without a problem.

My collection is 50-50 HD vs BluRay, but I'm starting to lean more to the BluRay side. My PS3 has no issues playing movies, but the 360 is a little more fickle. I assumed it was fickle because the 360 add-on is software driven instead of hardware driven.

COULD be a combo disc issue, but i've never heard of anyone having trouble with the scorpion king combos.

i'm pretty sure universal is replaceing faulty combo discs still free, if you want to go that route.

I haven't seen a problem with any of my combos, I have the Scorpion King, only with my one Weinstien title, Clerks 2, and it royally ticks me off.

I will test out my other HD-DVDs and see if it's the player or disc. If the disc, then I will contact Universal.

My Xbox 360 hard-drive is full - I wonder if that could affect playback?? Maybe I will delete some demos.

My PS3 works great now that auto-play was added in the lastest firmware upgrade and I have my Harmony 1000 remote controlling the player.

Both formats are great. I buy all of my discs (about 20 HD and 25 BD) from Amazon at great prices, plus I get 10% off for a year. No shipping, No tax.

Looking forward to Heroes (Season 1) on HD-DVD.

doubt it, but worth a try.

the 360 has reserved system space for games etc, so you could never use it anyway.

Check the edge carefully to make sure the the two sides aren't coming unglued. I got the SK from Netflix and when it kept locking up I checked really thoroughly and finally found that the two halves were unglued about 1/3 of the whole disk.

I've since bought a copy and it's fine, but there was a bad batch out there with adhesive problems.

So the message I got on my Xbox must have been related to some downloading demos I had in my queue. I saw a message flash on the screen saying "the Xbox HD was full".

Makes sense they would reserve some space for games.
