if at least would internally convert to pcm would be nice.

That would require decoding of the HD formats....and I would bet money the 360 will NEVER do that.

Is it really that much of a stretch consdering it can already decode the WMA lossless?

Probably not, but do I really think that's going to happen??????? Also, given the fact the HD-DVD lost the "war", Microsoft could have considered it at one point, but this point is more than likely thinking, "Why bother?"

I'm not saying its not CAPABLE....I'm just saying it will never happen because now, there is no point.
