Default Anyone get The Frighteners yet?

Well??

I've seen the film before, and I love it. I was thinking of picking up the HDDVD today, but wanted some info first. How's the transfer? Pic and Sound quality good? Any cool bonuses?

Thanks in advance to anyone who's watched it!!

Got it last week and watched it over the weekend. The age of the film is obvious, but the transfer works well. A clear improvement over the same special edition DVD but obviously not the same standard as the later King Kong on HD DVD by PJ.

I have the HDDVD, it's a tier 1 release IMO. very clean and sharp, great sound. 4 out of 5 for PQ IMO.

it has all the extras from the laserdisc directors cut as well, if you owned the old DVD release like I did.

we have very little reason to be interested in them.

Default A-holes!

The guy at my BB looked it up on the computer and claimed it was an online only item for them. Crap!

The only new release they had on either format today was Basic Instinct.

I bought mine at Border's (for $23.99 after a 20% Off coupon), but I also saw a few copies at FYE. If you have either store near you, you might want to start there.
