Default Red 2 Blu from Warner

http://www.red2blu.com/

Warner has started a HD DVD trad-in program. $5 for most discs when you send in the HD DVD.

Looks like you just send in the cover art and get to keep the discs. I called customer service and they said you keep the HD DVD discs and they send you the Blu Rays in the full case like if you bought them from the Warner online store. Very cool!

oh, i'm so going to try to "upgrade" casablanca just for kicks.

that said, the 5.00 isn't bad, but the additional shipping is.

Some titles are more than $5 such as Blade Runner. I can understand charging more for the 5 movie Harry Potter set but Blade Runner is just one movie. I don't see the need to charge $15 for the exchange, especially since the BD sells for so cheap anyways.

to upgrade blade runner is silly, as the hddvd has a higher value than the blu right now, just SELL IT.

that said, there are some horribly dumb ideas in there. i am legend? sublime? the elvis movies? really?

if you bought an allotment from pieceofmind books to get taking lives on hd, you have MANY warner hd dvd's.

Did you notice on the Potter Pack that you have to send in the case for the Sorcerers Stone. I have not seen the pack in person but from pictures it looks similar to a digibox for each movie.

Wow, this is a nice exchange program for HD DVD owners that want to replace some titles with the Blu versions. I am going to see what makes sense for me but I will trade a few if it is as easy as it seems.

Thanks,
Chris

the Potter set is identical except for the Blu ribbon on the outside.
my question is do they send you a year 1 "book" back along with all the discs since you have to send in the year one "book" sans case.
plus do you get the blu ribbon?

What's stupid is that it's $15 for the entire Potter box, but $25 if you have the movies individually.
