Default Note to Universal

As a loyal HD-DVD supporter, I would like to ask you to start putting out better quality catalog releases because the format will never be won by releasing Accepted and Cat People!

Yeah, I mean, Eastern Promises just doesn't cut it.

Hey there will always be good and not-so-good releases on both sides. Btw, Cat People is the best it has ever looked on HD DVD.

Universal has been very generous with their catalog. They kept HD DVD full of choices last year. There are quite a few out there to release from Uni but Paramount could give us a bit of a boost with a Gladiator/Braveheart promotion.

I concur with you bre'r rabbit. Midnight Watcher he said catalog titles not new releases. I say to Universal, "Don't release nanne nudder movie that doesn't have the titles 'Scarface or Jurassic Park. Cat People may be a decent flick, but it is not the kind of title that will win a format war.

IMO Universal delivered in both Catalogs and New Releases with the Quality and Titles. I hope they continue their strong support.

What I/majority REALLY want are titles where Spielberg & Co., are attached!

What matters is that Universal release a broad spectrum of titles, which it does. It is silly to put them down for movies that you don't personally like, but do remember that Universal released more HD titles than any single studio on either Blu-ray or HD DVD. "Cat People" may not be your cup of tea, but I like it a lot and I know a there are others on this board that do as well. And it looks great.

But there are plenty of other recent releases by Universal which are excellent:

Eastern Promises
Pianist
The Kingdom
Bourne Ultimatum

just in the last month (and I am skipping some titles). Elizabeth: Golden Age and American Gangster to be released in the near future. Hard to criticize IMO.

I would have an orgasm if they anounced those two titles.

Those are the two titles I would want the most.

Yes, Universal does great. Universal and Warner make up most of my collection. Sad to see Warner going cause they were, IMO, the best studio on the HDDVD side. (As far as their HDDVD releases are concerned.)

I would like to see more BOGO sales of HD DVD discs like the Blu-Ray camp does.
