I doubt there will be much if any news at the MS keynote about HD DVD. altho im hopeful and will be watching.

If no news comes out im prepared and expecting that. Toshiba would be the one I expect to make the big announcements

Absolutely wrong. Just look for the 2 promos they made in partnership with Toshiba,Warner,Paramount and Universal.

They are the biggest shareholders of the format and have done much to it.

No clue. It works very well with my Mac and Safari.

It's Microsoft's answer to Flash.

The Keynote begins in two minutes.

Its retarded to think that Microsoft doesn't care about HD DVD.

While they don't NEED it to be around, it certainly helps alot that it is.
If HD DVD were to die, then Blu-ray is the dominant HDM format. this strengthens rival system PS3s selling power alot which hurts the future success of the 360. people who are on the fence between the two may chose the PS3 because it plays HD Movies as well as games.

HD DVD succeeding helps out microsoft and the 360 immensely.
