Default Class Action Lawsuit against Warner Home Entertainment?

I know I will get flamed for this but Im going to throw it out there anyway.

A high Level Exec(Vice President if im not mistaken) for Warner Home Entertainment came out only 2 weeks ago and said that Warner Brothers would NOT be going exclusive to either format at anytime in the near future. This encouraged people on both sides to go buy truckloads of Warner movies in their preferred format. Not 2 weeks later(after the holidays ended coincidentally) they drop the bombshell that they are going Blu-ray exclusive ???

Many of us went out and purchased a ton of WB movies on HD DVD. Many of those people are format neutral and had they known would of no doubt got the movies on Blu-ray instead so that they have much longer life cycle.

IMO I think a class action suit should be brought against warner, they should offer full or partial refund for all WB HD DVDs purchased in the recent past, or they should offer to exchange them for BD versions at their expense.

I personally will never buy another Warner movie on any format, I feel I was lied to and betrayed by them. If they come out with a MUST SEE blockbuster (like LOTR HD) Ill just get it via netflix.

Err. I'm pretty about telling this but: "Your Warner HD-DVDs won't explode nor will they fade away in a extraterrestrical light." so what's the point in getting them on Blu-Ray instead (especially if you are "format neutral")?

You can't make a lawsuit for that but the HD-DVD forum can (and hopefully will) do.

You mean: Until end of May which is June then. The exact date should be somehow between 24th and 28th of May (read this somewhere but forgot about the proper date).

we have just cause to sue, we were lied to by a company, which caused us to spend more money then we would have had we known the truth.

that is a lawsuit, period.

We all knew one side was going to lose the war someday... it sucks but it's not like your WB HD DVDs will stop working now.
