Default Looks Like It is True: Warner ditches HD DVD

sad day. It has happened. Reuters has just reported that Warner is going Blu only. I really hate this. I am really depressed, but looks like Warner has decided to back Blu-Ray.

It's all over the web now. Check main smackdown for numerous other threads regarding the bombshell we have all been fearing would happen.

Yeah it's a sad day my friends. but we'll always have Paris, right?

I'm kind of numb right now even though I just bought a bd player 3 days ago. I just really wanted Warner to stay neutral. guess I was about the only one.

looks like WB will continue to release on HD DVD up to May '08. I'm curious if you guys will continue to buy WB HD DVDs up to that point or begin making the switch to WB BDs.

I figured it was going to happen. Well I now hate Warner and I have no plans to purchase Blu Ray. Complete wrong decision has been made by Warner. Supporting a non consumer friendly format.

I am waiting to hear their announcement during their appearance in the HD DVD discussion group at CES this week.
