Default When the heck is LOTR gonna get released?

I see New Line is neutral and there is the Amazon pre-order (for whenever it gets released), is it going to take years for this or are they waiting for a definitive side to win before they put this out? If I could have 3 movies and nothing else, I'd get these.

A Toshiba Canada rep, from a facebook group, told me it's in the works but no set date has been given.

Well, Peter Jackson just signed up to do a 2 part installation of "The Hobbit". I new release of the LOTR trilogy could be coordinated to be released at the same time as those new movies for maximum marketing affect.

However, it is true that these titles are known to be in the works for some time.

Meaning that we would have to wait until 2010? Aw, hell no.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm expecting "Batman Begins" to be announced for Blu in April, specs in late my/early June and a release a week or two before TDK hits theaters. I don't consider it marketing anymore cuz it's too predictable nowadays.
