Question Where is HBO?

Band of Brothers? Rome? Carnivale?

These expensive mini series could be huge on HD DVD and help HBO make a lot of money back with little expense.

So what's the hold up?

They have been rather slow so far, only releasing Sopranos I believe. Band of Brothers is available as an import from Japan. I also really want Rome.

Does anyone know if Curb your Enthusiasm is shot on film? From the looks of it, I would say SD video. It's a shame, since it's one of my favorite shows on television.

I would buy Band of Brothers if they released it in the US. Best WWII series/movie/documentary ever.

Expect a Band of Brothers and a From the Earth to the Moon announcment at CES this year. As for the rest of HBO's stuff the one I really want is Deadwood as it at least had a somehwat descent ending. I would never rebuy Carnivale simply because they ended that show in a terrible way and I just refuse to support HBO's continuing practice of starting very expensive shows and then shutting them down prematurely because they are too expensive. They have now done it with Rome, Carnivale and Deadwood, 3 of my all time favorite shows. I already cancelled HBO and the only show that I would buy is Deadwood as I am a huge huge fan and just wouldnt be able to say no even tho I would not be happy about buying it.

Sorry, Curb Your Enthusiasm is shot on SD video.

As for HBO and their releases - as soon as it's announced Band of Brothers will be mine.
