Default New to the forums

Hi guys Im new to the forums although Ive been reading them for a while. So add 1 more to team Hd-dvd. At first I didnt want to risk the investment But when I saw the 360 add-on I couldnt resist. So far in a week and a half Ive bought batman begins, the thing, king kong(of course), and v for vendetta so needless to say im pretty much addicted. I was suprised at how great these movies looked on my 42 inch samsung dlp. I wasnt expecting them to be much different from progressive scan dvds, but toshiba has really suprised me and this is a great product.

Well welcome aboard! I'm not sure what kind of movies you are into but "The Hulk" has great PQ. I would highly recommend "Casino" One of my favorite movies and by far one of my favorite HD-DVD's-the PQ is amazing, it's right up there with Batman&Kong!

Superman Returns-amazing! The Bourne Supremacy-I'm a fan of the movie, but it's granier then any of the other movies we mentioned. Still looks great though. Oh do yourself a favor and check out "The Mummy Returns" it has the Wow factor regarding PQ!

Hey, welcome! I don't own "Army of Darkness" is it as bad as everyone claims regarding PQ?

i wouldn't use it to show off my setup ,
some scenes look great others not so much, i imagine some of the original master wasn't ideal for transfer

overall PQ > SDVD and great to watch, especially if your a fan!

no extras on the disc is the real downfall imho

I like Army of Darkness, it is grainy in a number of darker scenes, but there is some great pq in the outdoor scenes that makes up for it. The story is pretty fun too, so I would recommend checking it out.
