The HD DVD is an upgrade over the DVD but not a demo disk, its a mediocore PQ, but , I LOVE the movie, I think its better than both Superbad and Knocked Up, plus, there is plenty of extras. I would get it.

It's better than the DVD, but it's very strange looking in many parts due to the EE. All the actor's eyes look like they're made of glass, and many times they look digitally inserted into the movie. It's still worth the upgrade though IMO, and one of my favorite HD DVDs, but it could have been much better if Uni took the time for a proper transfer.

The worst PQ on the 100 or so HD DVDs and BDs I've seen so far. Heavy edge enhancement, heavy DNR, pasty color = utterly terrible. I firmly believe the video could have been reference quality, Universal should be ashamed.

Its definately an upgrade over the SDVD and IMO, a must have since its one of my favorites. It's not the best HD DVD in terms of PQ but by no means is it something "Universal should be ashamed of".

This is my last post. Better places exist to discuss the formats realistically and objectively.

I think it looks good. Most of the film is interior shots so it doesn't have the awesome feel you get when you watch an HD movie with lots of exteriors like Last Samurai or Fearless.

Nothing Universal should be ashamed of, it looks nice, and is an excellent comedy as well, with plenty of bonus features. If this is shameful, then bring on the shame!

I must be the only person on the face of the planet who thought it looked excellent. Hearing everything about it that I did, I was hesitant to even rent it on Netflix, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found the video to be very much to my liking. I'll definitely buy it next chance I get.
