I thought it was a lot better than it did at the box office. I think the problem is that Stiller has done the romantic comedy to death at this stage and people are not interested any more.

If you like Stiller films, you'll love this as its more of the same, if you dont like him keep well away from it

How does it compare to "There's Something About Mary"?

TSAM is far better but there are a few scenes in Heartbreak Kid that get up to that level but just nowhere near enough of them

“Ben Stiller’s funniest movie” (Pete Hammond, Maxim) makes a date with destiny on December 26, 2007 when THE HEARTBREAK KID arrives on DVD and HD DVD from DreamWorks Pictures, distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment.

From directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly (There’s Something About Mary), THE HEARTBREAK KID follows an indecisive man named Eddie (Ben Stiller) who finally makes a commitment and gets married, only to find out that the woman of his dreams (Malin Akerman) is a complete nightmare.

The outrageously funny film also features the comedic talents of Ben Stiller’s real-life father, Jerry Stiller, comic Carlos Mencia and “The Daily Show” correspondent Rob Corddry.

THE HEARTBREAK KID DVD and HD DVD presentations feature a host of side-splitting bonus features including commentary by the Farrelly Brothers, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and the featurettes “The Farrelly Brothers in: The French Tradition”, “Ben & Jerry”, “Heartbreak Halloween” and “The Egg Toss”.

THE HEARTBREAK KID DVD & HD DVD THE HEARTBREAK KID DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs or full screen and features Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, French 5.1 Surround and Spanish 5.1 Surround and English, French and Spanish subtitles. The HD DVD is presented in 1080p high definition and features English 5.1 Dolby True HD, English 5.1, French 5.1 and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus with English, English SDH+, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles. Special features included on the discs are as follows and are in standard definition except where noted:

♥ Ben & Jerry

♥ Heartbreak Halloween

♥ The Egg Toss

♥ Gag Reel
