Default HD DVD - DVD+R discs

I want to buy the toshiba hd-a2 and i have a large collection of dvd+r discs.
I need to know if they will play properly because the specs do not list +r discs?

Please can anyone verify this.

Seems to load up and play ok. Not that I have checked all the way through the show, but it navigates find and all. This is a fairly crappy CMC brand DVD+R recorded at 4x on a Sony burner. Hope that helps.

I've played DVD-R finalised with Nero on my X1E without issue

Never tried DVD+R's, You could just take one into a store to audition a player!

I believe it's just part of the "DVD Format War" (and you thought HD-DVD versus Blu-ray was the only ongoing war). Toshiba routinely avoids mentioning compatibility with DVD+R (DVD+RW Alliance which includes Sony).
