Default How many of your SDVD's will you upgrade to HD?

Just curious to see how much of your existing standard definition DVD collection you guys/gals will be replacing with HD-DVD versions? It's been a long time since I counted my dvd collection and I think it's around 200-210. I can honestly say that I will be rebuying less than 25% of those movies again on HD-DVD.

I own a lot of movies on SDVD that you could consider to be the truly "great" movies but haven't watched them much at all. But I have a lot of movies that I consider to be great but won't be winning any Oscars any time soon. Titles like The Island are really good rewatchable movies to me and will be gettign the green light by myself for a rebuy in HD, but something like United 93, or Green Mile which are clearly better made movies will not be getting a rebuy in HD because the subject matter doesn't hold up well over repeat viewings.

Anyways let the rest of the forum know how many movies you plan on doin the double dip on in HD.

probably none, too many "new" movies to buy, dont see the reason at this point to re-buy films (maybe if the price drops i would consider that)

Most likely I'll upgrade them all to HD eventually. Depending on price, I might elect to keep some TV on SD after hearing rumors of Lost costing $200 per season.

I'd gladly get rid of most of my anime if I could replace them in HD. That's the majority of my SDVD collection right there.

ditto with Nell All of them eventually. It will take a few years for them all to be released.

There is no way I'll be replacing all of them (over 1000). I will be replacing quite of few though. I've already slowed down on my purchasing of SD discs. There are a few more Box Sets I want, but that's about it.

As others have mentioned I'll be replacing those that have a good re-watchability factor.

As far as TV seasons go, I will continue to buy those on SD. There may be a few exceptions, but just a few. I work at home and watch TV on DVD quite a bit while I work.

I began selling mine and trading in for store credit back in early June/July. Since then I've ridded about 80 dvds or so. I won't buy all them back in HD. Some I just never watched again....But here's the deal with some of them that I thought I wouldn't upgrade: The detail is so much better that it's pretty noticeable now when watching HD. I will probably end up upgrading more than I thought.
