Default 'We Are Marshall' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'We Are Marshall' is up. He says Warner has put together another a nice effort for the film's HD DVD debut, with an attractive transfer and nice Dolby TrueHD mix. The only real downside is a meager supplemental package, which would seem to suggest that the studio is cooking up a double dip for sometime in the future.

Already have this one on pre-order on HD DVD! A blind buy for me but I'm a sucker for this type of sports movie! Really looking forward to seeing it for the first time!

According to the review, the TrueHD track is 24-bit, but the sidebar says 16-bit. Which is it?

And I'm pretty sure the BD version isn't a 'combo'.

I am with Grubert. Is it 16 or 24 bit?

It's probably 16bit and I am not buying this one. Sorry but I do not want those flippers unless is a BIG movie release (Not to take credit away from this movie) but this has to stop. Warner is just doing things wrong. HD DVD combo now and 6 months out re-releasing them on regular HD DVD discs. This will only bring the perception of low HD DVD sales for them and in consecuence their desire to go Blu ray exclusive due to low HD DVD sales and that sucks.

It's the $5 higher over BD pricing that irks me. I bought the last couple of Warner combos on BD because of this. But using Warner's web site, it works out to only $2.60 price difference, so I gave in & pre-ordered We Are Marshall with the combo.

This movie was downright good...I don't think our reviewers like sports much. They gave the movie a 3 here and Remember the Titans a 2.5 stars on bd. This movie should receive at least a 4 stars in my opinion.
