Default The Godfather Trilogy being remastered

While the article makes no mention of HD DVD one would think that if Paramount is going through all the trouble of remastering these movies then a HD DVD release may be on the horizon.

Francis Ford Coppola is personally overseeing the transfers as he did for Bram Stoker's Dracula. I read he is also preparing Apocalypse Now. We will see these on HD DVD.

Steven Spielberg has nothing to do with The Godfather.

I would go nuts if/when Apocalypse Now is released! That would be a great hd disc for sure!

Well Spielberg was responsible for strong-arming Paramount into spending the cash for the restoration. That's hardly "nothing." Not that his involvement translates into any kind of influence on if/when it gets released to an HD format (HD-DVD, obviously). The restoration does line things up nicely for a new release though.
