Default Bob Harper HD DVD

Hi there,

Came across this in a second hand store and was pretty excited to see it, store had 2 of them and bought both.

Unfortunately it is NOT a HD DVD, but instead a regular DVD. But I thought it was interesting and to post it here since it has the official HD DVD logo on the disc.

Hey John

Nice catch! I also think this disc isn't a real HD DVD. The logo isn't symmetricaly printed below "body shred workout", am I right? You can also check on the data side of the disc if you see in the middle of the ring anywhere "HD" written (very fine printed/burned)

Dude, I think you are our "discovery" member

If it plays in a regular DVD player, then it's not encoded in the HD DVD format. Funny they would use the HD DVD logo like that.

Yeah I don't think it is a HD DVD encode and to Noibeli's point there is nothing that says HD anywhere in the middle of the ring. The HD DVD logo is off center but I think it is aligned with the text on the bottom of the disk where it says running time. So I guess this is more of a conversation piece than anything else.

That's just 99% correct. If it's a Twin format DVD/HD DVD - like the Japanese Virtual Trips - you also can play the discs on a normal DVD or a Blu-ray player, even if they are real HD DVDs.
