500 Club

I had a few min and decided to count my 'Reds'. I am now at 521. Anyone else in this bracket right now?

Have fun!

I'm at 527 titles right now and I'm waiting for two more. I have a list of 20 or so titles I'm looking for so I might have 550+ some day, I don't think I'll ever find enough to reach the 600 club.

One of the titles I'm waiting for is Smokers, I think I have a good chance of reaching 550 before that arrives

Hey Nipa, still a few I am hunting down, too. Maybe you can open a "Wanted to Buy" thread in the HD DVD Exchange area for some help on those you want? Have a good one!

Just checked, and the total of items on the shelf, plus items paid for and en route to me, is now 506. Last night I picked up the UK release of 300. That now means I have 4 copies of 300, France, UK, US Combo and US HD-only.

I've also now tracked down (all?) three versions of The Deer Hunter, France, USA and UK.

Is there much of a market for HD DVD these days?

I'd say for imports there is.

Jac-I'd say, like with all things, there are "gradients" of collectors/enthusiasts. A few discs still sell for $100-some for much more than that (ultra rare, and few and far between). Other casual enthusiasts are still scooping up domestic releases (US and other countries) for $2-20, depending on releases). It really depends on the items and the mindset of the collector, but there are certainly collectors out there, looking for specific players and discs...

Just received 3 titles today which takes me from 497 to 500, which include about a dozen duplicates - combo/non-combo variants and a few imports with varying cover artwork. I am not sure if I'll make it to 600, but I said the same thing about #500 a couple of months ago.

Well, I didn't want to be right there. I got my refund for Smokers today and I'm at 562 HD DVD's with 3 more on the way. I guess I'll reach the 600 club eventually as I'm still finding titles I want.
