Default Universal's 26th Releases - Quality?

There have been questions about Big Lembowski and others, I would like to know about Mallrats. Does anyone know what kind of picture quality is on the June 26th releases? Reviews or if you picked them up yourself, what's the quality like?

My copy is coming in today. I'll watch and get back to you and add it to the Tier PQ list.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

I thought THE BIG LEBOWSKI looks great. MEET JOE BLACK is not bad; I compared it to the Standard DVD which I still own because it has DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY included, and it is truly worth the upgrade. The standard MJB looks awful bt comparison. MYSTERY MEN is supposed to be quite good, but my copy has not arrived in the mail yet.

I have seen very little in terms of reviews and even less screen-caps.

Wanted to know about Mallrats to know if I should buy it or not. XD I'll grab it and wait to open it, the BB near me takes a month before getting titles back in if they sell out.

Mallrats doesnt quite have the PQ that Lebowski does, but thats not to say its bad at all. For a movie that was very grainy to begin with released in 1998, the HD version is def an upgrade from the standard release. Is it worth the upgrade?? For fans of the film and Smith, I'd say yes....

Mallrats surprised me too. 8.5/10 is my rating.

I also picked up Meet Joe Black. These are Blind Buys, The Big Lebowski & Being John Malkovich

Just picked up Being John Malkovich, Mallrats, The Big Lebowski, and Army of Darkness. I'm going through them to see the PQ for each. So far, Big Lebowski looks the best. But BJM doesn't look too bad either. From what I saw, it varies from each scene, but in general looks nice enough for a purchase (plus it's great movie).

Does this version of Mallrats have the longer cut of the film?
