Rollerblading Documentary

Hi all,

I recently found this Rollerblading Documentary called Barely Dead - Saga of Modern Rollerblading. This was released in Dec 2006.

It comes in a 2 disc package, one DVD and one on HD DVD. I have been able to confirm that the 2nd disc is recognized as a HD DVD on both my BH200 and XA2. The menus are not selectable on the XA2 but am able to play the entire Documentary. Everything plays fine on the BH200 including the menus. The interesting thing is that the back indicates that "The HD DVD is only compatible with Apple's DVD player"

Anyway, it is a pretty good documentary even if you are not a rollerblading fan. It is authored in 720p but thought the video quality was not bad.

The packaging comes in a trifold and has pretty cool graphics, pretty impressed considering that this was probably done a very limited budget.

I believe around 5000 of these were pressed so hopefully those who want to add this to their collection can find one without too much difficulty. I was able to find a new and used copy.

Hey, nice discovery! I see them available on an Australian website. I guess that would have the HD DVD, although their pic show the case with the two disc trays empty.

So do you think this is an Australian release?

These are all the same release, no region coding and are the same in all countries. So this should be the same as the one I have.

Good to know, I'll probably be able to get it cheaper then somewhere else. Thanks for sharing.
