yeah I noticed this also and I emailed HDD regarding this a few days ago. I just placed an order with Amazon, but I guess I'm about to place another. :D:D :-#

Just got my copy from Amazon today. The cover art is different from what is shown on their site. Did anyone else who got a copy from Amazon also get the different cover art?

Mine says "Bob Hope - Bing Crosby" across the top with a B&W picture of them standing next to each other below taking up the whole cover. Then at the bottom it reads "Newly Restored in High Definition Double Feature"

I actually have it, the coverart is different too. Bamboo, same here.

The color on Road to Bali is quite good for an early technicolor transfer. Road to Rio looks very faded, blacks are more a light gray, and many scenes go soft. It may be the best they could do with what they had, but it doesn't give a great hi def show.

^ agreed, I have yet to watch Road to Bali, but was left very disappointed with Road to Rio. Road to Rio looks to be about SD-DVD quality to me.

I noticed that that they are encoded 1080i, at least that's what my player told me it was. No subtitles or special features of any kind either.

Very weak effort and I'll pass on further offering from this replicator.

I still plan to order this and see what I think. I would be really surprised if they didn't do the best they could on this, but I would certainly have expected 1080p. Still, I think people's expectations may be very unreasonable. I have watched a great deal of sd dvd content from the 30's and 40's, and look forward to giving everybody the "true" scoop on this release. ;):D:)
