Personally, I'm only really interested in Tristan + Isolde and possibly Home of the Brave. If the Home of the Brave transfer is noticeably better than the Blu-ray version (MPEG-2 on BD-25) I will most likely replace my BD copy with the HD DVD import. Other than that I am quite happy with the rest of the movies on Blu-ray. Of course I would of loved to pick up Hero which isn't available on either high-def movie format but alas this DFW release lacks English subtitles.

Darn! I'd pick up Hero in a flash if it had English subs.

Thank you for your e-mail of January 27, 2008.

In answer to your question we can let inform you of the following. According to our information the DVD with EAN: 8715664051832 includes English subtitles.

Bol.com charges VAT on every sell we do. With every shipment you will receive an invoice on which the VAT is clearly described.

Costumers outside of Holland have the opportunity to re-claim the VAT. The terms and conditions for this depend on the tax laws of the country where you are situated. It is not possible for ro re-claim the VAT at bol.com. We advise you to contact your local taxservice.

We hope to have informed you sufficiently

Thanks! I'll have to watch out for reviews; according to the blogspot info it has:

- dts-HD Master Audio 5.1 (Mandarin)
Dolby Digital 5.1 (Mandarin)
- Dutch subtitle option

I have it on DVD & it upconverts pretty well, but the DTS MA audio on the HD DVD would be great.

What is this "Mysterious Aqua" all about? The cover intrigues me.

Edit: Apparently this is out in the US

Sounds interesting, but as I only have a 5.1 setup I wonder if it'd be a waste of money to attempt it.

I really hope this Dutch release of Hero doesn't look as aweful as our German HD DVD, Constantin Film did a really bad job there.

I'll probably by Hero even if it has no subs as long as the price is OK (19.99 EUR is not bad). Thinking about Home of the Brave and possibly Tristan & Isolde as well. I already have Rescue Dawn and Messengers on BD. Rescue Dawn is a fine movie, I'd definitely go for it if I didn't already have it.
