Default Halloween(2007)?????

Any idea when Halloween (2007) might come out on import HD DVD? Release date anyone??? I'm so glad 1408 finally got a HD release in Germany. I'm so sick of Weinstein jerking us around here in the US and not releasing any new movies on HDDVD!!
Can't wait for my 1408 HD DVD import to arrive.

Thanks
Ed

1408 was released in the Netherlands. The German version is still due.

Halloween is supposed to be released by Senator in Germany, but it's uncertain whether they will stay with HD DVD in the course of this year.

Yeah, I'd love to get this in HD-DVD as well as all the other Zombie flicks. This (Halloween) is actually my least favorite of his movies though.

I always figured the reason this movie wasn't released on HD DVD was because the movie was a co promotion with Weinstein and MGM, MGM being owned by Sony I figured Weinstein wasn't allowed to release this on HD DVD. It would be weird seeing that MGM logo at the beginning of an HD DVD considering they are owned by Sony. Hopefully we will at least get an import.

MGM just distributes The Weinstein Company movies in theaters, they have nothing to do with home video, where everything is handled by TWC majority owned Genius Products.

You will not see this on imprt until a US release.

Weinsteins are very anal when it comes to this... This is why you see DEATH PROOF and TERROR PLANET delayed on import....

As for 1408, better get it while you can... Releasing company is in default by releasing this and have been threatened by Weinstein.

Word has it that 1408 is being pulled from shelves....

Where the hell did you read this at??? Give me some proof that Weinstein has put a hold on the imports??? I'd like a direct announcment from Weinstein that this is true.

1.) The proof is a source inside the studio....

2.) DEATH PROOF & TERROR PLANET have both been pushed from their original HD-DVD release dates as imports.

3.) You will see 1408 dry up real quick as this titled "slipped through".

4.) You will see no HALLOWEEN until Weinstein makes up their mind on which format they will use here in the USA. (Which looks like blu I might add).

Nordisk Film have released Hannibal Rising (Weinstein title) on Blu-ray in Scandinavia, and have also set a date for Halloween on Blu-ray.
