Default Ghost Rider - HD-DVD

Finally got my copy the other day and watched it last night. WOW, the PQ is awesome the amount of detail that you can now see on Ghost Rider skull is way cool and the colour's pop off the screen. The SQ gave my system a good workout.
We all know the is average to fair at best, but do feel that in HD it makes it a better movie as you're more drawn into the film cause of the PQ & SQ.
The disc includes the extended version of the film in 1080p with DTS HD and most if not the extras from the R1 DVD.
Would defo recommend this HD-DVD

Ghost Rider - HD-DVD was an excellent import.....

I compared it to the BLU and feel the HD did win hands down...

So, The BLU goes out for sale this week..

I got my copy in from Xploited cinema this week. The PQ is very nice. Though I didnot notice what the extra footage was though.

There's nearly 20mins of new footage, I've never seen the theatrical edition so can't comment. I'd like to think that I'd notice 20 mins of new footage, mind.

The scenes where the Ghost Rider himself appear were worth every penny to me. As for Crank, the PQ didn't impress me but I've heard it's on par with the BD if that means anything.

It means nothing... Bluray has more storage so must be better!!!!

Looks like Ghost Rider has it but I'm also interested in Fragile on japanese HD-DVD that one is 22 though

I find it amusing that here in the UK, it's actually cheaper to order discs from Tony over at Xploited, rather than their country of origin. With FedEx shipping, F4:ROTSS was 27.00 and came in 3 days. If I'd ordered that from Amazon.de with normal shipping, it would have come to around 25.00 plus whatever BS European tax they throw on top and ended up around 30.00.

If the European tax was included in the 25.00 you quote, you wouldn't get any additional import tax or duty. EU countries have a unified tax scheme - meaning its only paid once at the rate for the country of purchase.

It's one of the fundemental reasons for the common market!

That's ideal in practice, it doesn't always work that way, though. I remember ordering the French deluxe version of The Transporter on DVD, it came to 16.00 with postage. Then checking the invoice, there was an additional near 6.00 for some bullshit tax. I live within the EU, so this sort of thing is a joke.
