Default Best HD-DVD import options

Hello,
I'm a happy new HD-DVD owner from the Netherlands and i am looking into importing hd-dvd's from the US. My most important reason to do so is the fact that major dutch retailers seem to have gone the blu-ray route.
This means that either new releases on hd-dvd arent available or shops tend to have a very small amount of hd-dvd's.

What i would like to know is what would be the best option for me to import my hd-dvd's. I already know about the major webstores like amazon, dvdboxoffice and play.com.

Any tips are welcome, so please help this Dutchy out

Thanks!

Hi RUNNER79 -

Welcome to the forum. I think Amazon is one of the best places. Also eBay can be good - you will need to make a PayPal account. If you are not used to eBay, be careful - buy only from sellers with many positive feedbacks, read the description fully & carefully, and make sure they give you a clear, stated amount for shipping to The Netherlands.

Also keep checking this Disc Exchange forum for members offering HD DVDs for sale.

Thanks for the replies so far!

Does anyone here import hd-dvd's themselves? What i want to know what would be reasonable to pay for shipping costs. I am looking for the most interesting options, making sure that if i want to buy multiple discs the shipping costs would be interesting enough to do so.

I import most of my films from the US, and I live in Norway so I guess the shippingcost would be about the same as Netherlands.

I mostly use Amazon.com, DVDpacific.com and Deepdiscount.com. I sometimes use Axelmusic.com as well, and since they ship from either Denmark, Germany or Holland the shippingtime is often faster as well. Axelmusic have both US imports and European releases.

I don't find the shippingcost that high at neither of these shops, but the cheapest alternatives can take a very long time to arrive, especially at Deepdiscount.com.
