Christ...'good' is an immense understatement.
This was one of the best flicks of '06, but was sadly overlooked during Oscar season.
I'm sure you'll appreciate this flick.
I haven't seen this and was considering buying it based on the rave reviews on this site, however, I am wondering about the shelflife, i.e. if I watch it once, will I (and more importantly, perhaps, my other half) want to watch it again, once the surprise has gone?

Oh yes. The second time you watch it, you'll notice details that you didn't see the first time around, and it'll make you think 'how on earth did I miss that?'. I've seen it two times now, and given some time I'll probably want to see it a third or a fourth time as well. Of course in those cases it's best viewed with someone who hasn't seen the movie yet.

Exactly, I've seen it three times.
Second time was to look for the things I missed.
Third time was just to appreciate how well the movie was made, and the flawless acting.

I agree it looks very good. However, the 24-bit PCM track on the BD blows this away in the audio department.

Ive had this for awhile and havent psoted a review of it yet..soo here it goes:
I personally love the movie. Brilliantly paced and great acting, story, and just everything! The PQ is amazing and the AQ isnt as bad as stated. Ive watched this movie at least 12 times on HD DVD,, worth every penny for an Import title.

Movie: 5/5
PQ: 5/5
AQ:4/5
Overall: 5/5

Those of you that bought this movie, how does the audio compare to other HD titles? I'm considering have Tony (xploited) order me the Japanese version for the TrueHD for just a couple $ more.
