I thought the same thing! Yes here is a disc review that wipes that higher bandwidth myth down to the ground.

BTW
Someone notify Disney to stop advertizing fud about that "Higher Bandwidth" as well. (see "Cars" commercial)

A recommended import for those who dont have Blu-ray. I bought this before my wife had bought me a PS3 and was well worth it. I didnt like the idea of importing but seeing at the time it would only cost me $30 total to ship to me from Amazon UK, I gave in. After this title the walls have been broken and I plan to import some more in the future.

No excuse for not having a 1506 DD+ or DTS 1506 track.

i still think the movie on HD DVD should be recommended instead of worth a look, it is a good film...
I hadn't noticed that, I also think that it should still be "highly recommended", the PQ is really excellent and the story is pretty well done. In the real world, the audio will still sound excellent.

I've never been much of an audio guy, and I don't even have a surround sound setup (small apartment), but I'm willing to believe that top-of-the-line DVD quality doesn't necessarily justify a drop from Highly Recommended to merely Worth a Look.
C'mon Peter...hey can anyone there ask Peter if that was really worth that much of a significant drop?
Oh well...I love The Prestige, and Nolan is a VERY promising director, so I'll definitely be placing this order.
Hahah, I'm really only buying this because I want to have an import HD DVD just for the hell of it (have a PS3!)......
