Default HD-A2 now $250 on Amazon.com!!!

Check it out.

http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000IJV...pf_rd_i=507846

Read the reviews of what the "average Joes" said about it and why they decided to go with HD-DVD. Their reasons sound very good for getting HD-DVD over blu-ray and this is what I believe the average consumer out there thinks and why I believe HD-DVD will win over blu-ray.

This makes me both happy and pissed lol. Happy because the price wars are starting, pissed because I wish i waited a little longer to buy my A2 instead of spending close to 500 bucks.

You can find even better deals on-line. Toshiba's $100 instant cash rebate and very agressive competition has driven the A2, A20, XA2 and even the XA1 very low.

It's a buyers market while the sale is on. Toshiba's $100 discount ends 6/16

why would toshiba release a 1080i player when all of the hd dvd's are 1080p, i understand that not everyone has a 1080p tv, i just got one, but would it make sense to put down on the back of the discs that yes the movies can be displayed in 720, 1080i and 1080p like the ps3 and 360 games do?

What if you get a 1080p tv, now you have to get a new player? anyway toshiba has a great marketing plan with the hd players, i wish microsoft pushed the add on even further. They should do some more advertising for it, kind of like what sony does with the ps3 as a blu ray player.

If you are referring to the OP source, you would need to also purchase Matrix Trilogy to get the additional 2 titles.

You can still do better.
